Building Successful Business For Health Professionals

ATTENTION fellow health professionals, be very, very careful. Right now you can choose to ignore this valuable information and nothing will change, or you can take a few minutes to read and learn how hundreds of personal trainers are turning their pt business into a successful fitness enterprise that not only works better for your client, but provides you with money that you need and the lifestyle that you want.
Then STOP WHATEVER YOUR DOING, grab yourself a glass of water, put up your feet and read this SPECIAL FREE report and discover the secrets that are helping personal trainers just like you GET RICH AND STAY THAT WAY!
TO GET MORE MONEY, YOU HAVE TO TRAIN MORE CLIENTS. BUT there are only 24hrs a day, AND you can't spend all of them working...
As a personal trainer you have to start thinking of ways to have revenue coming into your business even when you're not working. If you're currently making a living as a personal trainer, I'm sure you what I'm talking about.
When you started your personal training business, you were probably excited that you could be your own boss AND use your passion for fitness to make money. No doubt you were excited and gratified to see progress in your clients, to watch them get leaner and stronger and more confident while you got paid to help them achieve their goals.
It probably felt like a dream job right?
But as time went on, you may have started to realise that, while it's not hard to make money as a personal trainer, it's very, very hard to make a LOT of money as a personal trainer.
If you want to increase your standard of living, be able to afford a nicer home, or just quite simply.. your own home, a better car, more freedom to travel or indulge in your favourite hobby or passion. There is only one way to do it - if you don't count winning lotto!
YOU HAVE TO WORK MORE HOURS.
You get paid for each session you do with a client. So the only way to make more money is to do more sessions with more clients!
And if you're already working as hard as you possible can? You have to be satisfied with what you have right now.
Your current client roster probably brings enough money to pay rent, put food on your table and maybe a little money in your pocket for extras like movies or meals out.
And maybe you're fine with that. Maybe the simple life is okay with you!
THE PROBLEM IS. THE SIMPLE LIFE ISN'T ALWAYS THAT SIMPLE...IS IT?
What would happen if something went wrong and you suddenly needed more money? It could be an everyday occurrence like needing a new set of tyres for your car, or facing some major repair. It happens to everybody. And when it happens to you, you're going to need hundreds, maybe even thousands of dollars that you didn't plan on spending.
It's going to cut into the money you used for your rent, food, your movies and leisure activities. And even then, you may need to work more hours to make up the difference. But if your time is already maxed out, if you're already working as many hours as you can handle, how are you going to find more hours to train more clients to make more money.
No wonder so many personal trainers experience burn out. But burnout isn't even the worst thing that can happen.
WHAT IF YOU GET SICK OR INJURED and CAN'T TRAIN YOUR CLIENTS for a few weeks or months? Do you have access to other sources of the income you need to stay afloat?
WHEN YOU STOP WORKING SO DOES YOUR PAY!!
How long would you be able to pay your rent and put food on your table then? If you're like most trainers, probably not long.
These days most of us live by pay check to pay check. And if you're making any extra money, you're probably more likely to spend it on the little extras you deserve for all the hard work than to save for some bad thing that might happen sometime in the future.
Of course you can't train clients one on one forever. There aren't many 70 yr old personal trainers out there. At some point, you're going to have to retire. But how can you even think about retiring when you can't work enough hours to make any extra money right NOW?
THE SECRET IS FINDING A WAY TO ENHANCE YOUR BUSINESS. To get more out of YOUR CLIENTS and offer them more in return- WITHOUT ADDING MORE HOURS OF WORK TO YOUR DAY.
The question is, how can you possibly do that?
Sydney based personal trainers Mark Ewins Did it....he found the secret that...
"Has made a world of difference to my personal training business, both in terms of happy clients and also my income. I've successfully created a very good second stream of income within my first four weeks... that will ultimately become passive and take away the daily money worries a personal trainer can face." Mark Ewins PT
Are these the exact daily money worries you face? WHAT IS MARK DOING that is making those worries disappear?
Trainer Tony Fahkry, who lives in Melbourne, is having a similar experience.
"Do yourself and your loved ones a favour and check out this amazing technology...today. It will change your personal training business through referrals and increase your passive income."
Tony Fahkry. PT
What is 'Passive Income'? You might have heard of the phrase before. That's the kind of income millionaires make. The kind of income that keeps money coming in whether you're working or not working, whether you are seeing a lot of clients or taking some time off. No matter what happens, the money keeps coming in.
You see Mark and Tony found a way to make money. Even when they aren't at work. But Mark and Tony aren't millionaires....they're personal trainers, just like you.
HOW CAN Personal Trainers Make The Same Kind of Money Millionaires Make?
Personal trainers aren't about being passive. They're all about being active...about meeting with clients and setting up programmes and working out and helping people meet their goals.
Besides, they certainly don't have the kind of money to invest to generate a passive income in the first place.
SO WHAT DO MARK and TONY KNOW that you don't How are they MAKING MORE MONEY BY WORKING LESS?
Why are they so CONFIDENT ABOUT THE FUTURE? They discovered a HUGE HIDDEN SOURCE of PASSIVE REVENUE from Their clients that FAR EXCEEDS THEIR CURRENT INCOME.
They learned that personal trainers have a large underutilized untapped resource that can be used to receive a huge passive income. Just imagine - you RIGHT NOW have the resources to generate an impressive income independent of the hours you work AND that YOU RIGHT NOW can learn how to tap into this unused asset that is waiting for YOU to increase your revenue fast, simply and easily.
They uncovered THE biggest secrets about creating wealth. What sort of secrets? Well here's an example:
SECRET #1 - A JOB DOESN'T CREATE WEALTH.
If your struggling on your own as a personal trainer, you may be tempted to chuck it all in and get a "real job", where an employer takes responsibility for you so you don't have to hustle for clients, pays you a regular salary so you're always guaranteed a pay check, and even gives you paid holidays so you can finally take some time off.
IT MAY SOUND TEMPTING. It probably sounds safe.
But while a job might pay your bills, it isn't going to make you any real money. You may work hard to realise your dreams, but your doing all that hard work so that someone else can realise THEIR dreams. And don't for a minute think a real job will make you safe, because the second you no longer fit in with your employers pans or budget, you're out the door.
THAT'S HOW BUSINESS WORKS!
So suddenly, your personal training business probably doesn't sound so bad. But that brings us back to what you already know.
SECRET #1 - YOUR PERSONAL TRAINING BUSINESS WON'T CREATE WEALTH EITHER.
Your probably working as hard as you can right now. So ask yourself:
• Is all your hard work earning you enough money for the things you want?
• If you had to stop working tomorrow, would you be financially secure?
• Have you been able to put enough money aside for your retirement?
• If you were faced with a major expense that you didn't plan for, would you be able to handle it.
• Can you count on all your clients to stick with you, even if the economy continues to get worse?
• Would your clients stick with you if you were forced to raise your rates to makes ends meet?
• Is there any way you can make more money without killing yourself by working more hours or taking on even more clients?
Even if the answers to the first six questions is no, I have good news for you. The answer to that last question is YES!
There is a way for PERSONAL TRAINERS MAKE MORE MONEY WITHOUT raising their rates, taking on more clients or working harder!
By now, it's probably pretty clear that you're never going to make REAL money or have REAL security if you keep doing what you're doing. There aren't enough hours in the day to work as much as you have to, to make the money you need.
But you're not a millionaire or a top investor. How are you supposed to come up with the money you need to create the kind of passive income the experts say you need to make REAL MONEY? That's the biggest secret of them all.
SECRET #3-- YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A MILLIONAIRE TO CREATE WEALTH.
• YOU WILL RECEIVE EVERYTHING YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE.
• To build a client base that trusts you with their health.
• You have the knowledge and the expertise that people count on.
• All you need is the perfect product to supplement your training programmes. A product you can supply to your clients through your current business. A product that will dramatically increase you income without increasing the number of hours you spend working.
Mark and Tony discovered a new technology that perfectly complements what they are doing RIGHT NOW!
That their current clients love and are clamouring for, and that will earn them so much money they can cut back on the hours they spend training.
WHAT DID MARK AND TONY DISCOVER?
• how to break out of the exhausting trap of endless, one-on-one training
• Why and how some of the world's top PTs and other professionals are using the New Technology that will transform your business and your life forever....AND
• How to leverage your time and effort a thousand fold and GET PAID FOR IT over and over again.
• How to be recognised as an expert in your field.
• How to position yourself at the forefront of the next billion dollar industry without investing hundreds and thousands of dollars - using your existing client base.
• How millionaires make their money (that is passive income) and how you can put their strategies in place to create the lifestyle YOU DESERVE.
• How to consistently earn more money in a single month than most trainers earn in a year!
Approach this information from a holistic point of view and it IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED to break out of the financial trap of endless one-on-one training. It will give you the FINANCIAL INSURANCE POLICY you need to make MORE MONEY THAN YOU'VE EVER DREAMED POSSIBLE - by working FAR LESS THAN YOU'RE WORKING NOW!
ARE YOU READY TO TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE? Are you ready to give your clients the extra help that will earn you their loyalty? Are you ready to finally live the lifestyle YOU DESERVE?
Now, does all this seem too good to be true? It does a bit... doesn't it? Well don't get carried away just yet. There is one small catch to this opportunity. It's a small matter, and very reasonable. But it may affect your decision.
You see, in just 12 short months this ADVANTAGE you are about to learn about is already making many PTs a passive six figure income. So If you really want to help your clients with their goals and build a very successful business, OPEN YOUR MIND TO THESE CONCEPTS. PROACTIVE EDUCATION AND TRAINING which are not new just revised and improved.
Are you motivated, goal oriented, honest individuals who sincerely wish to enhance the lives of those you serve Why did you join the health and fitness Industry...what benefits. what drives, what inspirations, what motivations are there to keep you going and advancing. I am changing the lives of so many more with this holistic complete approach. My clients pay in excess of $14000 a year for my expertise, why don't you step outside the square and really help your clients for the long term.

Popular Health Websites

The technological world is changing so much that it's hard to keep up. Imagine; in the days of Little House on the Prairie, Dr. Baker made his house calls for the townspeople of Walnut Grove without a thought that one day doctors would be able to make house calls of sorts without leaving their office. Of course, their world was fictional, but the concept was not; and now, the new-age house call is just as nonfiction a tale as ever. There are many websites in present day that give you an enormous amount of information on ways to diagnose yourself, or even enlist the advice of a medical professional. So the next time you're feeling under the weather, maybe you'll be able to find refuge in some of these popular health websites.
WebMD
WebMD is probably the most popular and trusted of the many health websites out there. I heard of this website many years ago in the same way many people do. One day, I was coughing up a storm, but my cough was more aggressive and painful than I was ever used to. I called for an appointment with my doctor but he couldn't fit me in until the next day, so I called the next best person - my best friend - to complain about my coughing fits. She told me that there was a website called WebMD that might be able to diagnose my symptoms, so I tried it out.
As soon as I entered the site, I found a symptom checker icon with a picture of a body next to it. I clicked on the picture of the body and was taken to the symptom checker page which asked me first if I was male or female. Afterward, I answered questions about where I was experiencing pain. I clicked the chest area then answered a series of questions regarding the specifics of my chest pains. After my symptoms were determined by the checker, it was suggested that I call my doctor for an immediate appointment within 1 day. Since I had an appointment the next day, I went to find out that I had a sinus infection - not too serious, but enough to require antibiotics and prescription cough medicine for a month.
WebMD labels itself as "the leading source for trustworthy and timely health and medical news and information." And aside from having this handy symptom checking tool, they offer up-to-date information on a variety of medical topics, and even have what they call "health centers" that focus on various medical conditions from acne and asthma to sleep disorders and strokes. In addition, they offer information on the top 12 health topics, the most common treatments, diet assessments, necessary nutrients, drugs, skin care and so much more - in sum, this website has an overwhelming wealth of information. With everything they have available, it is no wonder that many believe it is one of the best health websites available.
KidsHealth
KidsHealth is another one of the many health websites available - and like WebMD it is very highly-ranked, said to be the most visited site regarding children's health. When you first enter the site, you are given three mini health websites to visit: the site created for adults, the one created for kids, and the one created for teenagers. I decided to start with the parents' website first to see what information they had available. On this site, they list a variety of links to choose from, depending on what you're interested in learning. Some of the links include infections, emotions and behavior, medical problems, and doctor and hospital information. Also, they give parents helpful tips in being able to positively care for their children as well as dealing with emotional and behavioral issues. In sum, this part of the site works to look at health from the parent's perspective to help them be a better health administrator to their child.
Of the three mini health websites, the kids' site offers the most kid-friendly information developed to help them learn with a little fun in tow. There are spelling bees related to health topics, recipes for health and fun foods, articles about growing up, understanding the body, and dealing with feelings, and even a glossary of medical terms written in very easy to understand definitions. There is a section of the site called "Watch Out" that discusses ways to stay safe around the house (gun safety, dog bites, and the rules of the Internet), outside of the house (bee stings, bike safety, and poison ivy) and emergencies and first aid. And a section called Kids Talk allows children to ask their own questions and have them answered for everyone to see.
Finally, the teens' mini site let's teenagers explore the idea of getting older and how they can relate to their bodies. The topics on their page include understanding the body, sexual health, infections, food and fitness. There is a section that discusses drugs and alcohol and the topics include the need to stop smoking, the affects of marijuana and other drugs, and even coping with an alcoholic parent. Like the kids site, they offer different recipes that are healthy and easy to make for teens, like lasagna, turkey chili, cornbread and oatmeal, and they also have a similar Q&A section that allows teens to have their personal issues resolved in anonymity. The three mini health websites are great ways to help people understand the health of those under 18 and allows them to comprehend in their own unique ways.
These two health websites are just a few of the many available. But they are the most popular in that they are densely populated with very helpful information. WebMD gives adults a vast amount of topics to choose from and covers almost every area in the medical profession allowing its visitors the opportunity to become educated in terminology they can understand. And KidsHealth gives adults, teens and children a way to understand health education, also without having to rely on physicians for definitions when they are not always available or easily understood. So if you are ever in need of medical information and don't know where to turn, I strongly suggest you consider these two health websites to enhance your understanding of you or your child's well being.

The Best High Fiber Foods and Health Drinks Are Not In Stores

While consuming fruits, vegetables and water every day is important, superior fitness can be achieved with high fiber foods and health drinks not found in stores. Even if you can digest the recommended 25-35 grams of fiber in food and 8-10 glasses of water every day, you may not be getting the best nutrition available. Most people find this prospect hard to swallow, and give up quickly on ever reaching perfect health and fitness. It takes too much time, effort and energy to buy, prepare, and devour that much produce, and who can guzzle that much water every day without craving some flavor?
The good news is that there are now some very beneficial high fiber foods and health drinks, which are concentrated, so that small amounts help you reach those power numbers. You won't find these concentrated nutrients on the shelves at your local grocery store, and certainly not in the refrigerator section of the convenience store. We're not talking about so-called "enhanced vitamin water" beverages that are filled with fructose and isolated vitamins, or energy drinks boosted with caffeine and sugar. Instead, we are referring to naturally produced health drinks made from real whole food sources such as lemons, peaches and raspberries. These health drinks are loaded with natural antioxidants and complex carbohydrates that the body recognizes as being from nature. Your body understands how to process these natural drinks better than man-made chemically produced, artificial drinks being sold in stores, and you achieve better results.
High fiber foods are sold in many different forms today, and the best way to ingest fiber is to eat raw fruits and vegetables. The challenge, though, is how to eat 25-35 grams of fiber in five servings of raw fruits and vegetables every day. Fortunately, you don't have to consume mass quantities of plants to achieve the results that high fiber can offer for keeping your digestive system running smoothly. There are now some high fiber foods available in natural, tasty shakes that you can mix with water or other liquids for all the complex carbohydrates and essential vitamins and minerals you need. Throw in a few frozen banana pieces or berries to mix with the powdered shakes and you are quickly on your way to the fiber and nutrients you need each day. Best of all, the shakes taste good and contain FOS, fructooligasacharides, a pro biotic soluble fiber found in foods like garlic, onions or barley. Who wants to have garlic or onions for breakfast when it is easier to have a quick, tasty shake made with real strawberries or cocoa? That makes it so easy to get more essential fiber, complex carbohydrates and natural antioxidants for breakfast than most people get all day.
Drinking diet sodas or high fructose, high caffeine and high sugar energy drinks to get fit is like lifting 12 oz cans of beer to build muscle up. Those types of drinks only tear your body down, while health drink formulas made from all natural ingredients give your body the nutrients it is crying out for to keep going strong. Water is good, but if you find it incredibly tasteless and boring to drink 8-10 glasses of plain water every day, look for some new ways to make your water wetter and better. When you can drink a quart of water mixed with all natural antioxidants and complex carbohydrates for better taste and more benefits, why wouldn't you? It makes no sense to spend more than a dollar for a bottle of sugar water when you can spend the same to super boost that water with natural energy, fat flushing and anti aging properties. Again, we're not referring to loading up on caffeine and sugar, but enhancing your beverages with natural fruits and real foods from nature. It is so easy now to find these carefully produced, powerfully charged health drink formulas that you don't need to shop every health food store or grocery store. You won't find them there, but you will find them on the Internet. You have to step out of your comfort zone, change the way you think about nutrition, and change the way you shop for high fiber foods, health drinks, and other essential nutrition.
Some people think juicing is the best way to get fiber and other essential nutrients from fruits and vegetables. However, many others find it difficult and disappointing to spend hours cleaning and preparing the piles of produce needed for a small glass of juice. That seems so old school, and while juicing may have been good for Jack Lalane, it is not necessary today in order to consume enough high fiber foods and health drinks. Again, you just have to search the net for all natural high fiber foods and health drinks that are not sold in stores and you will find that there is an easier way to get complex carbohydrates, natural antioxidants and soluble fiber.
Changing my diet to a more contemporary way of eating high fiber foods and increasing the benefits of drinking water has worked quite well. I lost thirty pounds in the first month without even trying very hard, and I have easily kept that weight off for more than six years with the same products. I hardly ever shop at the grocery store and I get more nutrition for about three dollars from a quickly made, concentrated, all natural shake than most people get in a week. It's so easy that once you find the keys to perfect health you will wonder how you ever lived without them, much the way we wonder how we ever lived without computers and cell phones. So, get out of the kitchen, get on the net, get your nutrition, then go out and live life to the max!

Health Benefits Others... Not Just You

I've got some great news for you.
Actually, what I'm about to tell you (if done right) will lead to massive success and happiness in all facets of your life.
What can this possibly be???
Well, it's your health and fitness, of course.
I'm sure you're asking right about now, "How is this different from everything else you tell me, Chris?"
Well, I'm about to show you how getting fit and healthy not ONLY helps you, but your family, your career, your relationships, and everything else in-between.
You see, once you've decided to take action and make that lifestyle change that I keep talking about...things will start to change for the better.
You will get leaner.
You will get healthier.
You will eat better.
You will exercise more.
You will be consistently consistent (pay attention to this statement).
You will be happier.
All of these things will snowball, and will lead you to greater things in life.
Let's run through a sample scenario...
Ok, let's say you are 40 pounds overweight, haven't regularly exercised in years, eat basically anything you get your hands on everyday, is constantly stressed about your work and/or family life, etc.........
And let me just interrupt to say that this, unfortunately, is the true average person.
Sad, indeed.
Onward.
Let's say you've had enough and you've decided that things are going to change......you're going to eat healthier, exercise, and change everything you can for the better.
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I knew you could do it!!!
Ok, so you start.
You get up in the morning, exercise, eat a healthy breakfast (let's say oatmeal and fruit with some added green tea health benefits), go to work (happy that you've done way more than you usually do), eat a healthy lunch (turkey sandwich, yogurt, fruit), kick some more butt at work, come home, eat a home cooked meal (very, very important, consistently eating out = consistently getting fatter), exercise a little with your family, have some leisure time, go to bed.
Now, that is the kind of change I am talking about!
Now, of course, EVERYONE is not going to follow that rough sketch exactly.
Everyone has their own ideas when it comes to food, family, job, etc.
And that's fine!
The point is.....is that you are changing your bad habits into good ones.
And they have WIDE-RANGING benefits.......such as:
Your husband/wife gets motivated by your changes and decides to follow in your footsteps.
You give a fantastic example to your kids on how to be healthy and stay healthy (this alone is worth its weight in gold...for them not to be included in the next batch of childhood obesity statistics).
You save money in decreased doctor visits, prescriptions, and the like.
You are happier with life.
You look forward to more things because your self-esteem is shooting through the roof.
You are more focused at work.
And this is truly just the beginning...........
As you can see, getting in shape helps you most importantly, but has possibly the best "side effect" of anything else in the world.
It helps others.
Mainly the ones you care about the most.
Hey, if you're getting fit, you can surely motivate your family to get fit......what else is possibly better in life than achieving your own goals and, at the same time, motivating your family to do the same.
Now if that doesn't propel you into "Parent of the Year", I don't know what will, lol.
It's time to make a change, don't wait any longer, don't wait until you've reached your breaking point......
Let's start today.
Let's start one day at a time, one pound at a time.......
And propel yourself to the person that I know you can be.
I'll talk to you soon.

Master Your Own Intelligent Power Plant

Want to get in shape for the summer huh? Understanding your body will get you the results you need. No matter what your goal is, by understanding your body you can change the way you look forever. Bulk up good weight or simply loose the plump.
Thousands of people keep asking questions and finding different answers about health and fitness. Why is that?
People are different. Every one of us has a unique type of body; therefore what may work just fine for me might not work for you and vice-versa.
Our inherited characteristics (genetics) make us exceptional. Many people are concerned about their physical appearance especially in summer because of the sudden increase in the exposure of their body. Some people start looking for fat loss or weight gain diets and end up spending a lot of money on exercise and diet books, but some people decide that they want a radical change and start starving or eating a lot of food.
This psychological phase may cause huge health problems like anorexia nervosa (An abnormal loss of the appetite for food) or bulimia nervosa (An eating disorder in which the sufferer eats huge amounts of food and then vomit).
The secret behind a healthy & fit body lays in the basic facts. Knowing the basic facts will help you find your own way of dieting according to how your digestive system works. Only this will ensure long term health and fitness. For example, reducing your daily food intake is not necessarily the best way to loose fat. Understanding the quality of food, how the body uses energy, how the digestive system works, and other related information will give you the base 'know how' to make the change you want.
How does the digestive system work?
Simply explained, our body works like an intelligent power plant as suggested in the heading of this article. The food we eat is the fuel. Our muscles are the motors that enable us to do our daily functions such as breathing, moving objects and walking from one place to another.
When our stomach is empty and our body needs energy, our brain sends signals requesting food (hunger). The food we (ingest) is temporarily stored in our stomach. Our brain will then command our stomach to send the required acids to break down the food (digestion). After the food is broken down it will become the source of energy for our muscles.
Where does body fat come from?
The food we eat is made up of different substances namely carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, water and salts. Carbohydrates and Fats are the main sources of energy and protein is normally used by the body for muscle repair and growth. Any excess food that we eat is either excreted or stored in the body as fat.
Why do some people look like a Michelin commercial?
The body keeps fat stored underneath the skin to prevent the body from death as a result of severe starvation. When the body is starving the brain sends a message to the body to reduce the amount of energy being burnt; in this case the brain will command the body to feel tired and to break down muscle and fat tissue for energy.
Why? The muscle burns energy just by being there. The bigger the muscles are the more energy they burn. Therefore by breaking down muscle tissue for energy the brain will be both reducing the amount of energy needed per second and also getting some extra energy in return.
Eat like a pig look like a stick!
In the above paragraph I explained how, when starving the body breaks down fat and muscle tissue right? And I also explained that the more muscle mass we have the more calories (unit for calculating energy) we burn no? OK now I want you to combine those together. The best solution would be to maintain the good mass (muscle mass) and get rid of the fat. Sounds impossible?
NO! In fact it's easier than you think. Well here's the formula.
The average man burns around 2500 calories per day and the average woman burns like 2000. It doesn't matter what you eat unless you don't exceed your amount of calories per day.
If you eat more often and in a more regular way your brain will think that there is enough food to eat and that there is no need to store food like crazy. The result is... You are feeling better (food is a great antidepressant) and satisfied more often and you won't pile up the plump.
A very good timetable would be:
(Wake up + 20min walk + cereals)
[3 hours]
(meal 2)
[3 hours]
(meal 3)
[3 hours]
(meal 4)
[4 hours]
(meal 5)
Now if you want to loose fat you will have to work out a calorific deficit of not more than 600 calories per week. Take a walk every morning on an empty stomach for 20 minutes and drink a glass of water every 3 hours. Try to reduce carbohydrates and fats. Eat more protein and drink more fruit juices.
Do some weight training to tone up any flab that you might get as a result of less fat under your skin and get ready for a new wardrobe!
Bulk up Mr. Thin!
If you have been pulled around or joked about at school or at work just because every one 'thinks' you cant bulk up muscle, I have good news for you.
What is happening to you?
Your digestive system works at a higher than normal rate and burns everything that you ingest as fast as it can. Your system is so fast that it burns both the fats and the proteins you ingest nearly as fast as it burns carbohydrates.
OK let's get to the point...
What you need is to reverse engineer what is happening to your opposite genetic type. Eating small meals often will only trigger your body to burn food faster. Your main aim should be to slow down your metabolic rate (the rate by which you burn food). Eat more fiber rich foods especially in the morning. Do not eat fats like there's no tomorrow because that is very unhealthy and no matter how much fat you pack on it will look ugly. You must pack on muscle. Eat larger meals less often and eat more carbohydrates.
Your typical timetable should be something like this:
(Wake up + cereals)
[4 hours]
(big meal 2)
[4 hours]
(big meal 3)
[4 hours]
(big meal 4)
And yes you must add weight training to your daily timetable. Do some resistance training to increase strength. Day on day off weight training is the best for you. If you change your eating style and do your weight training regularly you will start seeing results after a couple of weeks.

Great Health in 3 Simple Steps

Do you want great health, abundant energy, a fit, pain-free body, better-quality sleep, and an incredible sense of overall well-being? How would you like to wake up refreshed each morning and literally jump out of bed, filled with energy, vitality, and an eagerness to get things started? For most people, all the benefits of great health are just 3 relatively simple steps away.
But before you get too excited, remember that "simple" doesn't always mean "easy." The 3 steps you have to take to achieve incredible health and vitality are not really easy for most people. If you've eaten junk your entire life and rarely exercise, the transition to great health doesn't happen without a good amount of effort and a real desire to change.
Fortunately, the process can be significantly shortened -- and your chances of success dramatically improved -- by using the power of momentum. If you have to push a big boulder down a hill, 98% of the effort is made during the first few seconds. But once it gets going, it's difficult to stop!
The same is true when it comes to healthy living and developing positive habits. The first few weeks will be tough. But then it gets easier and easier, until it's so easy -- and the benefits so noticeable -- that it actually becomes enjoyable! This is how positive habits are formed. Most experts agree that, if you can do something on a daily basis for 21 days, it will become a habit.
So what are these 3 simple but powerful steps to great health and vitality? Here you go...
1. Positive Thoughts Are Vital
If you want to enjoy great health -- and a much better life all around -- you first have to "clear out" your mind and start thinking positive thoughts. Get rid of the junk -- all the negative, energy-zapping thoughts you're carrying in your mind -- and replace it with the good stuff. Positive thoughts are extremely energizing and they always lead to good things; it's as simple as that!
Fortunately, there are many good books and programs that can help you develop a positive thinking habit. But getting started is as simple as avoiding negative people, negative news, and negative activities. Force yourself to think only positive thoughts for 21 days and see how your energy and confidence literally skyrockets. Also, consider daily meditation, a proven method that's been practiced for thousands of years!
2. Eat Like a Caveman
Humans evolved over millions of years on a very basic (but extremely healthful) diet of greens, lean proteins, nuts, seeds, some tubers, small amounts of fruit, and water. Our bodies haven't had time to adapt to handle the foods most people eat, especially refined grains and sugars. Many health experts agree that this is a major reason for many of the epidemic health problems we face, including heart disease, cancer, and obesity.
The best option for most people is to follow a "caveman"-type diet. Basically, if a food didn't exist 3000 years ago, don't eat it! Base your diet around green, leafy vegetables, nuts, seeds, small amounts of lean meats and fish, some healthy tubers (like sweet potato) and small amounts of fruit. Obviously, changing to this type of diet isn't easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is. And most people notice such a positive change in their energy levels after only a week on this diet that they never want to go off of it!
3. Exercise First Thing in the Morning
For optimum health, exercise is a must. You probably already know that. But what you may not know is that exercising first thing in the morning is the key to getting maximum benefit AND enjoyment from just about any type of exercise you do. Exercising in the morning refreshes you, gets the blood pumping, "wakes up" your brain, and puts you in a positive mood that will carry over into everything you do for the rest of the day. It will be much easier to think positive thoughts and eat healthy foods.
Also, studies show that people who exercise first thing in the morning are much more likely to stick to a health and fitness program over the long term. Just remember to find something you enjoy, whether it's walking, biking, swimming, strength training or playing a favorite sport. No matter what, be extremely careful that you don't "train" yourself to hate exercise by choosing an activity you really dislike (like treadmill running!) or attempting to do too much exercise too fast. Also, if possible, always try to workout outdoors.
A Few Tips
Don't try to make all of the above changes at once. Definitely begin to develop a "positive thinking" habit first. It's not too difficult and the benefits are enormous. Then begin to incorporate a basic "caveman-style" diet and morning exercise into your daily routine. Start simply and make the process as enjoyable as possible. Remember, the key to long-term success is developing habits and enjoying the journey.

Cycling Is a Good Choice for Fitness

We keep hearing from medical professionals, news, magazines and friends that we need to get fit and I believe that cycling is one of the best options to achieve this.
If you are anyway like me then once you start doing something new, you tend to really go for it, sometimes a little too much and this can cause problems when it comes to keeping fit, so a word of advice is to start slowly and work your way up.
I'm Not a Doctor!
I have to start off by saying you shouldn't take this as any form of medical advice obviously (that is what your doctor is for) but I do truly believe cycling offers many advantages over other forms of exercises such as jogging. Just the fact that you're subjecting your joints to less impact surely must be a good thing.
Why I Think Cycling is Great
I know my knees are not in the best condition and they certain feel painful if I try to jog for a while but I do not tend to have this problem when I go for a bike ride.
For me riding a bike allows me to do short periods of intense exercise (usually up a steep hill) followed by longer periods of gentle exercise, all the while getting outside breathing fresh air and experiencing my local countryside views.
The intense periods of exercise tends to push my heart rate up which I believe is good for my cardio fitness yet I'm still keeping a sustained heart beat when I'm cycling in the less intense areas.
Do I Cycle in a Gym?
Some people like to cycle on a machine in a gym but I personally can't see the point. I know for the pure fitness benefit, there probably isn't much difference but I don't enjoy staring at a wall and I'd rather get out, pick a random route and enjoy the ride.
What About Cycling Tours?
Another thing I greatly enjoy doing is going on a cycling tour which is basically where you ride with a bike touring company in all sorts of beautiful locations around the world. They do all the work of planning the route, booking hotels etc.
Doing this is a fairly rare treat for me and my family but we really do enjoy these vacations. And we don't feel quite so guilty when we eat various deserts while on the tour because we know we're balancing it with the benefits we get from the cycling.

Simplify Health Fitness

Numerous studies have shown that exercise alone is not effective in battling long-term weight loss. Just look around and see that the fitness revolution of the last 40 years does not work for the general population. Yet, society continues to strive for the Hollywood emaciated celebrity appearance, the miracle transformation from hit TV shows like "The Biggest Loser," or the glam look fueled by Madison Avenue advertisers.
Every health professional will advocate exercise as a part of a weight loss program. The best doctors, however, will tell you that the typical recommendation of long duration, low intensity activities such as walking jogging, bicycling and aerobics up to six days a week is absolutely the worst recommendation for losing weight.
Long-term, low-impact exercise and activities cause a decrease in blood sugar, making you feel hungry and irritable. While aerobics yields some cardiovascular benefits, it fails to build muscle mass. In fact, chronic prolonged aerobic drills often lead to muscle loss and diminished strength.
Weight lost is not just about calories in and calories out. To lose weight, you have to burn fat. The biggest obstacle to weight loss is getting to the fat stores. The key to weight loss is understanding how foods affect hormones. An article I co-authored with Dr. Ronald Grisanti, "Obesity: Why Exercise Doesn't Work," focuses on the effect of sugar in the body and how insulin serves to keep fat stored in the fat cell, blocking the success of mainstream exercise programs.
So how do you get at the fat stores? I recommend a prescribed program of resistance exercises designed to improve strength, endurance and flexibility. Additional benefits include muscle toning, stress relief and weight loss. An effective, simplified approach to weight loss should be a three-prong approach that includes:
1. Education on how foods affect your hormones
2. Demonstration of what effective exercise entails for those only concerned with weight loss and health, not athletic enhancement
3. A way to address the biochemical glitches of the body such as thyroid, estrogen, testosterone etc. that may be leading to weight gain
For the obese and de-conditioned population, there are additional considerations. Athletic performance and weight loss are distinct goals. Many fitness coaches treat overweight and out of shape clients the way they would an athlete: with an overemphasis on core, mobility exercises and endurance training. Experts agree that the best approach for this demographic is to concentrate on exercised that stimulate the metabolism by challenging the largest muscles of the body because as the body ages, maintaining muscle mass is imperative for long-term health and fitness.
Scientific research confirms that stimulating muscle growth can be accomplished in as few as two sessions per week by challenging the larger muscles of the body with sufficient resistance. (Of course, this is based on the client's fitness level. Some may have to start slower than others due to overriding physical factors.)

Keeping Fit to Give Yourself a Healthy Future

In today's health conscious world more and more people are taking their health seriously and taking active measures to keep themselves fit and in shape. With the news often dominated by stories of the obesity epidemic that's sweeping the nation, it's no wonder that people want to look after themselves and make sure that theirs and their family's futures are long and happy ones.
For most people, getting in shape means losing a bit of extra weight and this can be a lot harder to achieve than it first seems. By using the right type of fitness equipment you can give yourself the best chance of reaching your ideal weight, and machines such as treadmills and elliptical crosstrainers are some of the best to use. These are both excellent for use at home, as they are simple to use and give a fantastic all-over full body workout. Both machines will exercise most of the major muscle groups in your body, as well as providing an intensive cardiovascular workout. This is the key to losing weight - performing any exercise that increases your heart rate and oxygen intake for twenty to thirty minutes three times a week, will cause your body to start burning calories and therefore you will gradually begin to lose weight.
Once they've reached their ideal weight, many people are well and truly hooked on the fitness bug and look for other ways to improve their physique. Building a little extra muscle and muscle definition is normally fairly high on most people's list, and using the right sports supplements can really help. Protein shakes are by far the most common, and they can make a dramatic difference to any workout regime. By supplementing the amount of naturally forming protein that's found in the body, you give your muscles the very nutrient that it uses during its repair and regeneration process and this is when the muscles increase in strength and size. Taking a pre workout supplement such as creatine can also help by increasing the amount of energy you have during your workout, meaning that you can increase the intensity of, and by extension the gains from, any weightlifting workout.
While you're still getting use to your new fitness regime it can take your body a little time to adjust to the stresses and strains that you're putting it through, and during this time you can be prone to picking up injuries and niggles. Any soreness or injury should be taken seriously, and you should make an appointment at your nearest health clinic to have it checked out. Continuing to exercise can risk exacerbating the injury, putting you out of action for a long time.
So with a little bit of hard work, you can make a worthwhile change to your health and fitness. Picking an exercise routine that you enjoy is the key to making sure that you're as committed in three months time as you were on the day that you started. Before too long, you should start to notice the changes to your body and this can be a real motivator to keeping yourself going when times get tough.

The Basics of Used Fitness Equipment

Without a doubt, getting into a regular physical fitness routine is one of the best things a person can do to encourage good health, as well as a more attractive physical appearance. Combined with a healthy and well-balanced diet, daily exercise can take years off of the condition of your body's muscles, bones, skin, and internal organs. It can also lower body fat, help prevent life-threatening conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, and give you the energy and enthusiasm you need to keep up with your busy lifestyle. Yet, despite the many clear benefits of physical fitness, many Americans still only get a portion of the exercise they need, falling victim to a sedentary lifestyle involving too much stress, poor diet, and sitting in a chair 8 to 12 hours a day. It's no wonder that current projections estimate that by 2015, 80% of Americans will be considered either overweight or obese, and the current generation of children is the first in history not expected to outlive their parents.
As obesity and lifestyle-related diseases are on the rise and the average life expectancy is suddenly falling, it's a fairly loud wake-up call for many adults that are neglecting their health and fitness. While there are a million excuses for not making it to the gym, everything from kids and a demanding work schedule to a complete lack of time and energy, the truth is that virtually everyone can find 15-30 minutes throughout the day for at least light, low-impact exercise. This could mean walking during a lunch break, doing yoga after dinner, or even playing Frisbee with your loveable dog. These little changes won't put you in marathon shape anytime soon, but they contribute to your overall health and well-being, something that's even more important to you and your family.
One of the best ways to find the motivation to make positive changes is to skip the gym, and invest in used fitness equipment. Having a treadmill, stationary bicycle, or rowing machine in your home means no more excuses for why you were just too busy to work out, or too low on energy to make it to the gym. Put a piece of used exercise equipment in your living room or rec room so you can work out during the news or a favorite TV show, or turn your basement into a home gym without the hassle of the drive or feeling self-conscious in skimpy workout gear. If strength training is your thing, add hand weights and a punching bag to your home gym, and keep your gym membership for when you're in the mood for some serious lifting. Keeping used fitness equipment in your home means you're more likely to actually use it, making it a more sensible long-term investment than paying not to go to the gym.

Don't Just Try to Look Good in a Swim Suit

A lot of people approach losing weight as either a competition or as a way to prove to themselves and others that they are worthy. Small wonder, listen to popular songs and you hear that men fall in love with women because of their sexy bodies. Movies generally depict "beautiful people" as the winners in love and finances. We want others to approve of us; we want to live up to some standard of beauty; so we decide that we have to lose weight for perhaps superficial reasons, like looking good in a swim suit. Unfortunately when we focus on reasons outside ourselves for losing weight our results are short-lived at best. For true, permanent, weight loss success we must look inside ourselves for both approval and the reason(s) why we want to drop weight in the first place.
If your goal then is to get off the weight loss roller coaster and truly lose weight permanently, it takes a shift in mindset. Instead of thinking about what others say, about what weight or size they think you should be, about what you have to look like to be popular, you must begin to think about what YOU want and how you feel.
Look, we all know that eating right and exercising are part of being healthy. That should be no surprise to anyone. What not everyone realizes is that "eating right" and "exercising" do not look exactly the same for every person! There is a lot of flexibility in these terms-which is good news because it allows us to create our own health system...one that is tailor made for us with our likes and dislikes, our goals and ambitions in mind!
How do you create this system? First take some time and really think about what your health and fitness goals are. If you think in terms of "health" rather than "weight loss" then you will guide your mind and body in the right direction and you will lose weight as a by-product of your actions!
Start with some simple questions that are an either/or answer. For example, "Do I want to run races or do I want to walk around the City?" Which one feels better for you? Go with that one. Then ask yourself another question. If you answered, "Walk around the City", to the first question then it might be you'd rather walk then run...so your next question might be, "Do I want to walk around the City or walk in the mountains?" Continue with these types of questions until you find something that really hits deep in your heart...then you know what-at least for now-your immediate health and fitness goal is.
It might be that you want to be able to walk in the sand at the beach, hike in the mountains, or run and play soccer with your kids. Perhaps your goal is to swim the English Channel or across the local pool, or ride your bike to work or across the country. It doesn't matter how big or small your goal is. What matters is that it is YOUR goal. Do not let anyone tell you that your goal is too big or small...and don't be afraid to let the goal grow and evolve as you do! Today your goal may be to walk around the block and tomorrow it might be to have the energy and balance to roller blade for an hour!
By placing the focus on something that YOU want you will dramatically increase your chance at weight loss success. Whenever you begin to wonder why you are eating better and taking care of your body you can refer back to your goal. When that health and fitness goal is achieved or no longer inspires you, then you can find a new goal.
As humans we come in a glorious variety of shapes, sizes, abilities and desires. We can achieve our health and fitness goals and weight loss success best when we focus on what inspires us rather than trying to live up to someone else's ideas about what is best for us.
